Welcome To Rise ‘N Glide!
My name is Tahseenov, and I am the proud owner and founder of Rise ‘N Glide.
Martial arts have been my passion since childhood—not just as a discipline, but as a profound teacher of life, shaping the mind, body, and soul. I firmly believe in the transformative power of consistent training and its ability to enhance both physical and mental well-being.
My journey began with a deep love for Russian and Kavkazian culture, rooted in my personal connection to the Kavkaz region. In November 2010, after my first professional Muay Thai fight—a hard-fought defeat against a highly ranked Muay Thai fighter from Chechnya—I realized just how extraordinary these people were.
This pivotal moment ignited my curiosity, and the more I learned about the people, traditions, and values of these cultures, the stronger my attachment grew. I was particularly inspired by the incredible bravery and strength of the Kavkaz people, which fueled my desire to explore the region personally.
While living in the United Arab Emirates, I dedicated myself to rigorous training to achieve my fitness goals. My martial arts journey started with a passion for Muay Thai, which I pursued with relentless determination.
Alongside my physical training, I immersed myself in learning about Russian culture and the values of manhood within Russian society. After years of studying Muay Thai, I transitioned to Jiu-Jitsu—a decision that marked a turning point in my life. From that moment, there was no looking back.
It was during this time that I met my first Jiu-Jitsu coach, Umar, a masterful trainer from Dagestan and the founder of the JSJ Team. Coach Umar's impressive credentials included a black belt in both Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, as well as the title of Combat Sambo World Champion.
Training under his guidance was transformative. His teachings, combined with the camaraderie of athletes from all over Russia—many of them from Dagestan—fueled my growing admiration for the Kavkaz region and its incredible fighters.
As I delved deeper into the history and culture of Kavkaz warriors, my eagerness to experience their homeland grew stronger. I longed to see for myself the place that produced so many champions and to understand how wrestling and martial arts were interwoven into daily life in Russia. My dream finally came true when I visited Dagestan twice within two years, beginning in June 2016.
During these visits, I had the privilege of meeting the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov and, incredibly, his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. On October 9, 2018, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, I was deeply honored to visit the Nurmagomedov family home, where I received a humble and cherished gift. This experience was profoundly inspiring, marking a pivotal moment in my journey and solidifying my connection to the rich legacy of the Kavkaz region and its remarkable athletes.
Meeting with Khabib Nurmagomedgov for the first time in Los Angeles, California September 10, 2016.

On September 4, 2019 to further solidify my name in Dagestan and my reputation, I was honored to receive my Jiujitsu purple belt in Makhachkala, Dagestan by a Jiujitsu Black belt from Dagestan, Isa Karasanov.
