Meet The Team
Tahseenov
Owner & Founder of Rise ‘N Glide
My name is Tahseenov, and I am the Owner and Founder of Rise ’N Glide. I’ve always had a passion for martial arts. Since I was a child, I trained in Shotokan Karate, competed in both amateur and professional Muay Thai for around eight years, and after that I devoted myself to the wonderful sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I’ve been training in for the last 13 years.
Rise ’N Glide was born from a simple idea—something I personally was craving—that pushed me to create something that didn’t exist. While living in the UAE, I had the privilege of training under my Dagestani Jiu-Jitsu coach, Umar Abdulrashidov, the founder and head coach of JSJ Team who holds black belts in both Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, and is also a Combat Sambo World Champion.
During my trips to Dagestan, I realized there wasn’t a structured, all-in-one training camp that offered accommodation, transportation, meals, training, and cultural enrichment all in one experience—the exact thing I had envisioned.
Over the course of eight years, I turned that vision into reality. Today, Rise ’N Glide is proud to be the FIRST and ONLY to provide exclusive wrestling and grappling training camps in Dagestan, Russia, combining elite training in world-class facilities with unforgettable cultural and touristic experiences.
I knew I was truly passionate about Rise ’N Glide when I found myself sitting in a college class with my laptop open while the professor was teaching, and instead of taking notes, I was researching and studying pricing analysis for my camps.
The second time I knew this was more than just an idea was when I decided to drop out of college and fully pursue my dream of making Rise ’N Glide and our camps the best experience they could possibly be.
I love what I do now, but it wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows. There were plenty of difficult moments, uncertainty, mistakes, and lessons along the way. But I love what Rise ’N Glide has become, I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I still believe this is only the beginning.
If you’d like to know a little more about me and the journey of Rise ’N Glide, I recommend watching this video:
Hajimurad
Executive Assistant & Operations Manager
My name is Hajimurad, and I’m a Dagestan native with around four years of Freestyle Wrestling experience. I’ve also dabbled a little bit in Jiu-Jitsu over the years, although growing up my biggest passion was always football (soccer). By profession, I’m a graphic designer—but since joining Rise ’N Glide, I like to say I’ve become a man of many talents and many different roles!
I first met Tahseenov in the early months of 2018 while we were shooting a commercial for New Balance Dagestan, which he was starring in. We connected instantly and became friends from that moment. At the time, Rise ’N Glide was still very much in its foundation stage, so neither of us could have imagined what it would eventually grow into.
I started helping Tahseenov record and produce his YouTube content, and little by little we began working on more and more things together. There was never really a formal conversation where we sat down and said, “Okay, now we work together.” It just happened naturally. As the years passed, our friendship became stronger, our trust grew, and working together on Rise ’N Glide simply felt right.
Over time, my role grew far beyond just filming and graphic design. I became involved in camp preparation, helping participants, solving problems, and pretty much whatever needed to be done. That’s one of the things I love most about Rise ’N Glide—everyone brings something different to the team, but when it’s time to work, we all come together and make things happen.
Looking back, it’s pretty special to think that what started as two friends working together on YouTube videos eventually became years of building Rise ’N Glide side by side. We’ve created countless memories, met incredible people from all over the world, and watched something that started as an idea grow into something much bigger. And the best part is, I still feel like we’re only getting started.
Shaga
Media & Content Specialist
My name is Shagabudin, but everyone knows me as Shaga. I’m a Dagestan native, born and raised in the region.
I come from a strong martial arts background, with 6 years of Freestyle Wrestling, 4 years of Karate, and 2 years of MMA. During my time competing in Karate, I became a silver medalist at the Russian Championships and earned multiple medals in Dagestan Karate Championships.
Professionally, I’m a graphic and web designer, which is originally how I became involved with Rise ’N Glide. I officially joined the team in mid-2026, but since then my role has grown into much more than design.
I’ve helped with four of the last five Rise ’N Glide camps, working closely with the team and our participants throughout their experience in Dagestan.
It has been an incredible experience being part of Rise ’N Glide, and I’m proud to combine my background in martial arts, design, and my knowledge of Dagestan to help create an unforgettable experience for everyone who joins us.
Liana
Assistant & Operations Manager — Women’s Division
My name is Liana, and I’m a Dagestan native who recently joined the Rise ’N Glide team as Assistant & Operations Manager for the Women’s Division. As Rise ’N Glide continues to grow and expand, the team has introduced a dedicated Women’s Division, and I’m very excited to be part of this new chapter.
I first came across the opportunity through my cousin, who is friends with Tahseenov. At the time, Tahseenov was looking for someone local to help manage and support the growing Women’s Division, and that’s how I became part of the team.
By profession, I’m an English teacher, and now my English skills are being put to the test in a completely different way—helping translate between Russian and English throughout the camps and making sure our international participants feel comfortable, understood, and taken care of.
This is my first season with Rise ’N Glide, and one of the best parts so far has been meeting and connecting with clients from all over the world. I’m excited to continue growing with the team and to be part of everything that’s ahead for the Women’s Division.
